Short-cut to the best snacks out there!

If I’m not passed out on the rocker, or my toddler’s single bed, or on the floor beside my newborn’s crib, I am on the go!  While on maternity leave, I am chasing my toddler, breastfeeding my 2 month old, and training for triathlon.  And when I’m not on maternity leave, I’m trying to do all that while working a full-time corporate job.

This is why it’s so important to make a conscious effort to fuel our bodies as best as we can.  And it’s not only about us.  As a mom of two now, I want to do what I can to make sure that my girls are also eating healthy and hearty snacks.  Yes you can buy them, and there are a ton of great snack options out there, but there’s something really nice about making food with your little ones – it gives them a different perspective on food and appreciation for what they’re eating.

And as someone who has been a competitive athlete for decades, I can tell you that I’ve tried my share of snack recipes that are meant to serve as fuel for sport while being delicious too :)
